How does BMW coding work?
Most BMW cars come shipped with many features that are locked or not adjusted to your preference. This can be because of the manufacturer region, regulations, or the feature is locked for a premium version (320i vs 330i vs 340i). We offer BMW coding which will unlock these options for you. This can be done in a couple of ways; one is through USB coding and the other is through remote coding.

Why does it say that I need a coding cable?
Due to the latest software update, USB coding has been blocked on some head units. This means that in order to install any feature on your car, you would need a codling cable. The process is still simple and can be done on your own. You will require a coding cable and a laptop with Windows, we will send you a program and code. The installation will take no longer than 20 minutes.

How does it work?
After you choose your options and complete purchase, we will send you an email with instructions and your custom file for installation. If you need a cable, we will send you the cable first then the instructions and coding files once you receive the cable.

Will this affect my warranty?
It really depends on your service provider. The method in which we add features in your car does not insert any coding or software in the car, that isn't already implemented. We are merely unlocking the feature. This means that if need be, the car can be easily reset to the factory settings.

How come there are no features for my car?
Many of the options are only available for vehicles with professional navigation, so if you have business or entry level navigation units then unfortunately the USB coding options will not work. However, there are still many features you can unlock with our Custom Remote Coding option.

When will I receive my code?
Within 1-3 business days. Usually within 24 hours.
